Join me for a cozy and creative evening at The Barrel Room on Canal as we design one of my most loved projects, the Wood Flower Book Bouquet.
In this guided, beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll create a one-of-a-kind floral arrangement built directly into a real book using hand-painted wood flowers, greenery, and fillers. Each bouquet is designed to be long-lasting and full of character, making it perfect for book lovers, unique home décor, or a meaningful gift.
I’ll walk you through the process step by step, but there’s plenty of room to make it your own once you get started. No experience needed.

What’s Included

You’re welcome to bring your own book if you have one you love (hardcover or paperback), just be ready for it to be altered for the bouquet. I’ll also have books available if you prefer to choose one during class.

Our schedule of events

Our class will begin at 6pm with an introduction after everyone is signed in. We then branch out for one on one instruction as everyone moves at their own pace.

You will work as a group to cut into your books to form your teardrops.

We will work as a group to create the tear drops to form your vase.

We talk about the flower options, how to stem them and the greenery selection.

This will allow you to work at your own pace while I walk around and ask the group frequently if there are any questions or if you need additional guidance while you create your art!
Where to Find Us
We will be just beyond the winery’s bar area in the back room with everything set up, a sign up sheet and plenty of space to get comfortable. It is a sit where you want as my glue guns are all battery operated and I pass them out after I see where everyone settles in.

Bringing your own book is optional. You’re welcome to use a book that’s meaningful to you, or choose from a variety of books I’ll have available at the class. Hardcover or paperback both work.

All wood flowers are pre-painted and ready to use. Flower types and colors are florist choice to ensure a great variety, but there will always be plenty of options to create a one-of-a-kind piece. Drying painted wood flowers is too long a process for in class designing.

Yes, absolutely. This class is designed for all skill levels. I’ll walk everyone through the process step by step, and once we get started, it becomes very relaxed and hands-on with one-on-one help as needed. Never hesitate to voice your need for help during the class. If you are shy, I always ask several times and walk around asking if absolutely anyone needs help, you can just raise your hand!

Yes. The flowers are securely attached directly to the book, so pages will be cut and altered as part of the design. If you’re bringing your own book, please be sure it’s one you’re comfortable transforming into a lasting floral keepsake.

Classes typically last 1.5–2 hours. All supplies are included, including the book (if needed), wood flowers, greenery, tools, and instruction. You’ll leave with a completed book bouquet ready to display or gift.
